Job summary

The LEGO Group in Monterrey is seeking a Sr Accounting Specialist to help build a best-in-class GL department within Business Service Operations on a six-month contract, focusing on the US and Canadian entities.

You’ll own key GL activities, deliver reliable financial information, support external auditors and the Tax team, and collaborate across teams using SAP or BlackLine, MS Office, and BI tools where needed.

Qualifications

• Prepared data and financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Oversaw month-end close activities and related accounting deliverables.
• Managed General Ledger accounting processes in a Finance function or similar.
• Experience with enterprise accounting systems (SAP or BlackLine) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Control balance sheets and income statements for US and Canada entities.
• Oversee month-end close and ensure accurate reporting.
• Provide financial data, analysis, and advice to support decisions.
• Provide information to external auditors and Tax team.
• Review balance-sheet reconciliations and follow up on differences.
• Participate in the LEGO tactical General Ledger implementation plan.
