Job summary

Flix is seeking an Expert General Ledger Accountant to join the Central Accounting Team in Mexico City. The role focuses on leading GL processes, ensuring accuracy and timely closes, and supporting audits and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in GL/accounting, IFRS knowledge, and experience with Oracle Fusion. Bilingual English/Spanish communication is required, with collaboration across regional teams and HQ.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience with strong GL expertise.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with closing processes, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead GL accounting and financial control activities across entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies.
• Coordinate budgeting/forecasting, variance reporting, and external tax compliance.
• Support audits with documentation and timely explanations; maintain controls documentation.
• Collaborate with AP/AR/Tax/Treasury/FP&A to drive process improvements and controls.
• Assist with accounting transformations, system implementations, and transformation projects.
