Advanced Energy in Mexicali seeks a Buyer II to manage procurement for production and NPI. The role emphasizes data-driven supplier selection, competitive pricing, and timely PO execution within MRP parameters.

The candidate should drive supplier performance, reduce external spend, and work cross-functionally with QA, accounting, and supply chain teams to meet cost and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Administration is required.
• 5+ years in procurement/purchasing in manufacturing.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
• Experience with Kanban and supplier managed inventories is a plus.
• Experience with MRP systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily interaction with supply base regarding open PO’s, lead times, pricing, and suppliers.
• Create/execute POs per MRP Planned Orders and requisitions with competitive pricing.
• Develop/new suppliers to improve cost and delivery performance.
• Approve invoices for payment within dept. guidelines.
• Expedite deliveries and coordinate with QA and supplier quality teams.
