Job summary

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation in Matamoros, MX seeks a Sr. Buyer to plan, schedule and coordinate finished goods and assemblies across the production cycle, aligning with management to meet customer and company needs.

You will procure inventory, manage requisitions, issue RFPs/quotes, and coordinate supplier deliveries within a mixed MRP/Lean environment. Responsibilities include releasing work orders, expediting, managing ECNs, and maintaining cost records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or at least five years of experience in the Electronics industry.
• APICS certification is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with SharePoint and Glovia is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to rapidly adapt to multiple software systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
• Specializing in procurement of metal components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
• Strong mathematical aptitude for discounts, total cost, and percentages.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and how they work.
• Negotiation skills and collaborative, creative approaches.

Responsibilities

• Procure inventory, supplies, and capital goods for production.
• Maintain records to keep purchases within budget and on schedule.
• Issue POs to suppliers and manage delivery requirements.
• Expedite delivery and release work orders to meet schedules.
• Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers across the supply chain.
• Provide production schedules and documentation to warehouse and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S policies and procedures.
