The Associated Press in Mexico City seeks an experienced digital video editor and storyteller to produce engaging reports, guide editors and shape presentations across platforms. The role requires a strong track record in video storytelling, on-camera delivery, and fast, accurate decision-making under deadline pressure.

You will leverage analytics to inform editorial choices, mentor reporters and ensure high editorial standards while working overnight and weekends as needed.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in journalism or related field.
• Five years of full-time newsroom experience at a daily newspaper, broadcast, online or digital news outlet, or AP bureau/desk.
• Excellent news judgment and ability to make fast editorial decisions under deadlines.
• Strong writing skills in English, with clarity and brevity for visuals.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as DaVinci Resolve.
• Familiarity with verification of user-generated content and reverse image search and geolocation tools.
• Authorization to work in Mexico and willingness to work overnight and weekend shifts.
