Job summary

Bluelight, a leading software consultancy, is seeking a senior DevOps/SRE/DevSecOps engineer to join our Monterrey team. You will design and operate scalable, secure cloud environments and automate deployment pipelines for demanding client projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive AWS experience, IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation), Docker/ECS/Fargate, CI/CD, monitoring, security controls, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
• Production experience with Aurora/PostgreSQL, including multi-AZ failover and replicas.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Containerization with Docker and ECS/Fargate; experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Deployment automation and rollback strategies; rollback drills.
• Monitoring and observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Load testing (k6 or similar) and latency/SLO management.
• Security-first mindset with vulnerability scanning and secrets management.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 audits and client security reviews.
• Incident response, on-call rotations, root-cause analysis.
• Experience with large, complex systems; overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Extreme ownership and accountability; client-focused delivery.
• Strong problem-solving abilities; positive, can-do attitude; meticulous.

• Automate deployment pipelines and ensure robust CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with teams to manage risk, security, and compliance requirements.
• Provide escalation support and participate in incident response and post-mortems.
