Job summary

Bluelight is seeking a Senior DevOps/SRE professional to join a fast-growing software consultancy. The role emphasizes deep AWS expertise, IaC, CI/CD excellence, and security-first operations.

You will contribute to complex, client-facing projects while promoting reliability, performance, and scalable infrastructure. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in DevOps/SRE/DevSecOps, hands-on experience with Terraform/CloudFormation, Docker/Kubernetes, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps experience.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
• Experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL in production with multi-AZ failover and read replicas.
• IaC experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Containerization with Docker and ECS/Fargate; CI/CD pipelines.
• Deployment automation, rollback drills, and latency/SLO awareness.
• Observability tooling experience (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch).
• Incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with security, vulnerability scanning, and SOC 2/audit support.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Manage cloud infrastructure with IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Operate and scale AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, S3, CloudWatch).
• Ensure security, compliance, and effective vulnerability management.
• Lead incident response and on-call rotations; perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver reliable, observable systems at scale.
