Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build and run cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability for Data and AI teams in a PCI-compliant environment. Design IaC with Terraform/Pulumi/CloudFormation, own CI/CD pipelines, and manage Kubernetes clusters across AWS/Azure/GCP.

This role requires strong scripting, security, and collaboration across global teams. We value independence, on-call readiness, and clear communication in a fast-paced culture with flexible remote/office options.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional DevOps, SRE, or platform-engineering experience operating production services.
• 3+ years building CI/CD pipelines and managing infrastructure as code.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container tooling.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go; solid SQL and cloud platform experience.
• Hands-on experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, or Datadog.
• Solid understanding of cloud security and PCI-compliant environments.
• Proven ability to work independently and with teams across time zones, including on-call rotations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategy, Roadmap & Vision - build the DevOps and observability roadmap for Data & AI teams.
• Design and build cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform / Pulumi / CloudFormation; package reusable modules for AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and implement security scans, deployments, and automated rollbacks.
• Operate Kubernetes clusters and container workloads with Helm, ArgoCD, or Flux; manage autoscaling and ingress.
• Build observability with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, or Datadog; implement dashboards and SLO-driven alerts.
• Implement security and compliance controls: IAM, SSO, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, policy-as-code.
• Lead incident response including on-call, runbooks, and blameless post-mortems to reduce MTTR.
• Collaborate with developers on local dev experience and internal platform tooling.
• Contribute to design reviews and share knowledge across distributed teams.
