Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to serve as technical lead for platform modernization, retiring legacy apps while strengthening MCP Hosting Infra and the AI Marketplace.

You will define technical direction, shape bot growth, and mentor engineers while coordinating with product and cross-functional teams on priorities and delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
• End-to-end technical leadership including migrations or decommissions.
• Expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes (EKS) with strong Kubernetes experience.
• Background in monitoring and observability practices.
• Experience designing authentication/credential-management systems (OAuth2).
• Ability to mentor engineers and balance pragmatic trade-offs.
• Proficiency in English at B2+ level.

Responsibilities

• Lead the spin-down of two applications with migration plans and decommissioning.
• Influence the architecture and reliability of MCP Hosting Infra (Kubernetes on AWS).
• Guide the evolution of AI Marketplace.
• Define the support automation strategy and bot permissions.
• Set standards for Terraform, observability, runbooks, and on-call practices.
• Review bot escalations and convert into automation work priorities.
• Mentor mid-level engineers through reviews and pairing.
• Act as escalation point for complex incidents and cross-team requests.
