NielsenIQ (NIQ) is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join the Financial Services Engineering team. You will maintain and improve our data platform supporting market research products with technologies like AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, Airflow, and Looker.

Responsibilities include building scalable data pipelines, automating infrastructure, and ensuring high availability, reliability, and data quality. Strong English communication is required for collaboration across teams.

Formación

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with ETL and data warehousing
• 4+ years of experience with Apache Airflow for orchestrating pipelines
• Strong software engineering fundamentals (Python/Java)
• Experience with cloud data solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of data modeling and SQL
• Experience with structured and unstructured data

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for ETL into the data platform
• Build automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and failover
• Collaborate to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of the data platform
• Use Apache Airflow to orchestrate ETL workflows
• Optimize pipeline performance and ensure data quality via testing and monitoring
• Explore new technologies to improve data infrastructure
• Implement data security and access control policies
• Collaborate with DevOps for deployment and monitoring of pipelines
