NielsenIQ is seeking a Software Engineer for the Label Insight team in Mexico City. You will contribute to a cloud-native platform built with Java/Kotlin, Python, and JavaScript (React), focusing on CI/CD and scalable microservices.

You will work with AWS services, diverse data stores, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust data-driven solutions for clients worldwide.

Formación

• Strong fundamentals in back-end object-oriented programming, including proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Familiarity integrating Restful APIs and an understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to interface across cross-functional technology teams and the business.
• Sound SDLC skills, preferably with experience in an agile environment.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with your XFN team and Product Manager in daily standups to discuss the sprint and remove roadblocks.
• Write Java, Kotlin, JavaScript or Python code (using TDD) to add functionality to our platform.
• Build out an event-driven, microservices architecture using serverless technologies and RESTful Spring Boot APIs.
• Work on infrastructure as code using AWS services (Lambda, ECS, Fargate, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, Kinesis Firehose).
• Model complex product data and work with MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and Elasticsearch.
• Pair with other engineers to deliver valuable and innovative products.

Whatyou’lldo

• Start the day collaborating with your XFN team and Product Manager during daily standups to discuss the current sprint and remove any roadblocks;

• Work on our infrastructure as code framework, using AWS services (such as Lambda, ECS, Fargate, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, and Kinesis Firehose);
• Model complex product data and work with multiple data stores, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and Elasticsearch;
• Pair with other engineers to provide highly valuable and innovative products to our customers
• Author architecture decision records and participatein whiteboarding sessions todemonstratecontinual improvement of our engineering practices
• Meet weekly with your manager 1:1 to keep the lines of communication flowing and ensure your performance and development is on track
• Host a Lunch-and-Learn or Engineering Learning Session to showcase a new technology

Qualifications

We’relooking for people who have
