Job summary

Spring Financial is seeking a Data Platform Engineer II to build reliable, scalable data infrastructure. You will own end-to-end data platform components using AWS, Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow, partnering with Finance, Risk, Product, Analytics, and Engineering.

You will apply AI to testing, schema discovery, and code generation, helping bring AI-enabled features to the platform while ensuring data is secure, observable, and aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• Snowflake and AWS-native data pipelines experience.
• Real-time data systems: Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, or Spark Streaming.
• Strong data modeling, schema evolution, and privacy-conscious design.
• Fluent in Python and SQL; IaC experience with Terraform or CDK.
• Practical use of AI tools in development and interest in AI-enabled platform features.
• End-to-end project delivery with clear business value.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Self-directed in ambiguity; able to take on broader scope.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and platform components across AWS and Snowflake.
• Modernize legacy data flows and enable self-serve analytics across the org.
• Improve testing, observability, security, and CI/CD in data systems.
• Integrate AI capabilities into data pipelines and tooling.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Finance, and Engineering to meet latency and governance needs.
• Contribute to data architecture design and code reviews.
• Own problems end-to-end and ensure production-ready delivery.
