Job summary

FedEx Mexico seeks an accomplished customs coordinator to process, coordinate, and obtain customs clearance approval for imports, exports, and transshipments of documents, packages, and merchandise in baggage or air freight under the Station Operations Manager. Under limited supervision, duties include preparing customs forms, handling duties and taxes, coordinating with customs officials, contacting customers, keeping records, and supporting station operations.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• General office skills.
• Computer literate.
• CRT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares customs forms to enable import/export and transshipments.
• Calculates duties, tariffs and VAT for timely cost recovery.
• Prepares international manifests for efficient customs clearance.
• Interfaces with customs officials and coordinates with internal teams.
• Contacts customers for information on duties and taxes.
• Maintains organized and filed customs documentation.
• Performs baggage handling and other duties as assigned.
