FedEx Mexico is seeking a customs clearance specialist responsible for processing, coordinating and obtaining customs approval for import/export and transshipments of documents, packages, and merchandise under supervision.

Requires High School degree or equivalent, proficient in English, and at least four years in international freight/cargo customs. Strong written/verbal communication and computer skills are essential to interface with customs officials and customers.

Formación

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• General office skills.
• Computer literate.
• CRT experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares necessary customs forms to enable import, export and transshipments procedures.
• Prepares forms detailing duties, tariffs and VAT for timely cost recovery.
• Prepares international manifests to ensure efficient customs clearance.
• Interfaces with customs officials and coordinates activities with internal staff.
• Contacts customers for information and duties/taxes due.
• Maintains all customs documentation and filing.
• Performs sorting and baggage handling as required.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
