ON.energy, based in Mexico City, seeks a Senior Control Panel Designer to own complete electrical drawing packages for control panels and power products, from concept through release. You will design PLC and I/O hardware, coordination with controls, power electronics, mechanical, and procurement teams.

This role focuses on new product development for our smart AI UPS and related systems, setting drawing standards, producing wiring and network diagrams, and ensuring compliance with NEC and UL

Qualifications

• 7+ years of control panel design experience, delivering complete drawing packages.
• Solid knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70 and UL 508A compliance.
• Experience with SCCR and safety circuit design, with NFPA 79 awareness.
• Experience in new product development for power electronics or UPS products.

Responsabilités

• Carry complete drawing packages from concept through prototype, verification and released production revision.
• Design PLC and I/O hardware, including 24 VDC power budgeting, fusing and distribution.
• Produce network diagrams: Ethernet and Modbus TCP, IP schedules, panel communications.
• Create wiring details: terminal blocks, wire numbering, cable/conduit schedules.
• Design emergency stop and safety circuits with safety reviewers.
• Design switchgear interfaces: breaker control, CT/PT wiring, 125 VDC control power.
• Document SCCR and select components per UL 508A/NFPA 70.
• Generate BOMs and maintain component database for procurement.
• Set up symbol libraries and templates for shared standards.
