Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Engineer focused on electromechanical and mechanical design to develop innovative systems that integrate mechanical, electrical, and electronic components. You will own technical aspects across the lifecycle of Power Panelboards and I-Line boards, driving performance, safety, and reliability.

You will lead cross‑functional teams and mentor engineers while advancing design-for-cost and continuous improvement initiatives within a global manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electromechanical/Electrical engineering.
• Progressive experience in product design, sustaining engineering, manufacturing support, or product engineering.
• Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD tools, engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
• Experience with engineering change control processes, configuration management, and technical documentation.
• Professional-level English communication skills.
• Knowledge of product safety, compliance requirements, and engineering validation methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global manufacturing environment.
• Preferred experience with Power Panelboards, I-Line Power Boards, switchboards, distribution equipment, or related low-voltage electrical products.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner for ongoing support, maintenance, and improvement of power distribution boards throughout their lifecycle.
• Lead resolution of complex technical issues related to product design, manufacturing, quality, and customer applications.
• Evaluate and implement engineering changes, deviations, and configuration updates ensuring safety, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, specifications, and design records.
• Support certification activities, testing and product validation efforts.
• Drive value engineering, design‑to‑cost, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, procurement, labs, product management, and customer support.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers, and cross‑functional teams.
