Form Energy is seeking a Senior Control Panel Designer to support the development of high-voltage battery storage panels. The role is part of the BMS Hardware & Electrical Systems team, focusing on full lifecycle design, development, testing, and validation of industrial control panels for HV systems.

Responsibilities include creating NEC/UL-compliant panels with EPLAN, BOMs, and integrating components, while coordinating with vendors and performing HV tests like hipot and insulation resistance.

Formación

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (MS with 3+ years acceptable).
• Hands-on experience designing panels to NEC and UL 508A standards.
• HV electrical testing and safety protocols experience.
• Wire sizing knowledge and electrical codes.
• Experience managing external panel manufacturing vendors.
• Experience with EPLAN for electrical schematics and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Design industrial control panels compliant with NEC (NFPA 70) and UL 508A standards.
• Create schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs using EPLAN.
• Select and integrate components: connectors, wire harnesses, breakers, fuses, drives, transformers, rectifiers.
• Design for HV systems up to 600V AC and 2000V DC.
• Coordinate with third-party panel fabrication vendors from design through build and acceptance.
• Lead HV testing: hipot, insulation resistance, functional validation.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers on enclosure, cooling, and physical integration.
• Participate in DFMEA and risk mitigation activities.
