Job summary

Félix is a remote‑first fintech company building a AI-powered remittance platform for Latin immigrants in the U.S. The role sits in the Consumer Lending team, shaping core backend architecture to power secure payments, disbursement, and compliance workflows.

You will work with Python, Flask/FastAPI, gRPC, Redis, SQL, Kubernetes, and Terraform, building scalable services in a cloud‑native environment while mentoring peers and driving high performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years software engineering experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent or advanced English.
• Proven track record shipping software in Fintech.
• Strong CS fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience designing web services with REST APIs.
• Familiar with Hexagonal Architecture and Event-Driven patterns; experience with A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Domain expertise in payments, disbursement, or compliance platforms is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of security, compliance standards, and KYC/AML processes.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.
• Excellent collaboration and prioritization in a team setting.
• Fintech experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable backend microservices in the Consumer Lending team.
• Design and manage infrastructure to handle millions of daily requests securely and efficiently.
• Leverage Google Cloud services to build distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and compliance to deliver holistic financial solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices across the team.
• Continuously refine platform capabilities based on user feedback and analytics.
