Job summary

Coforge is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Hermosillo or Mexico City. You will design and build high‑scale API‑based backend services, drive observability with DataDog, and own reliability and security across production systems.

The role focuses on delivering scalable microservices, collaborating with product, infra, and cross‑functional teams, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines, testing, and documentation to empower self‑service API usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.
• 5+ years backend experience with microservices and APIs.
• Proficient in Node.js, Express, NextJS, React.
• Hands-on AWS, Docker, Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and RESTful APIs.
• Observability with DataDog and security in DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance API-based backend services matching SLOs.
• Own health and uptime; participate in on-call; perform postmortems.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and infra to define requirements.
• Champion CI/CD, automated testing, and security practices.
• Modernize legacy services with updated architecture patterns.
• Document API designs, architectures, and runbooks.
