Flex is seeking an Automation Software Engineer SR in Guadalajara, North Campus, to design, develop and implement automation software that drives reliable equipment and processes.

You will work with PLCs, robotics, vision systems, and industrial protocols to deliver robust automation solutions in a manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Strong experience in Software Development delivering reliable solutions.
• Experience developing software for automation solutions using Python and Visual Studio.
• Ability to identify root causes and debug automation equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical diagrams for automation equipment.
• Experience with safety device implementation and evaluation for automation equipment.
• Strong PLC programming experience (Mitsubishi & Omron) with Structured language.
• Programming skills in C++, or JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Robotics programming experience with Epson, Fanuc, Nachi, UR, ABB, Kuka or others.
• Vision system experience with Cognex or Keyence.
• Experience with industrial protocols like OPC, Profibus, Fieldbus, DeviceNet, IO-Link, Modbus, TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of sensors brands and selection.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing processes.

Responsabilidades

• Develop Software for Automation solutions under the current standard.
• Evaluate and provide robust solutions on safety for automatic equipment.
• Identify root causes of failures in the automated equipment, and implement solutions.
• High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues.
• High level participation in internal process improvements.
• Develop software solutions to fill automation equipment requirements following Flex standardization.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to meet projects timelines.
• Work in a team environment sharing knowledge among colleagues.
• Be proactive, self-driven and motivated.
