Flex is seeking an Automation Engineer with Mechanical Design and Project Management skills located in Guadalajara North Campus. The role reports to the Automation Manager and leads automation projects from concept through implementation, combining strong mechanical design with hands-on automation experience.
The candidate will design and modify automation equipment, develop 3D models and drawings, manage BOMs, and drive projects through scoping, reviews, build, debug, FAT, SAT, and ramp-up,
Formación
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial Engineering, Robotics, or related technical field.
- Experience designing automation equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
- Proven Project Management capabilities with scope definition, timeline, milestones, and risk management.
Responsabilidades
- Design, engineer, and modify automation equipment, tooling, fixtures, and assemblies to automate manufacturing processes.
- Develop mechanical concepts, 3D models, drawings, BOMs, manuals, maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides for automated systems.
- Lead automation projects through scopes, design reviews, build, debug, FAT/SAT, and ramp-up.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Suppliers.
- Apply automation knowledge including robotics, motion systems, pneumatics, sensors, machine vision, and controls integration.
- Drive problem solving, risk mitigation, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement for equipment performance and safety.
