Automation Software Engineer SR located in Guadalajara, North Campus. The Automation Software Engineer role involves being responsible for Defining, Developing, & Implementing Automation projects. Focusing on delivering reliable solutions for our customers.
What a typical day looks like:
- Develop Software for Automation solutions under the current standard.
- Evaluate and provide robust solutions on safety for automatic equipment.
- Have the capability to independently identify root causes of failures in the automated equipment, to provide and implement solutions.
- High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues.
- High level participation in internal process improvements.
- Able to develop software solutions to fill automation equipment requirements following Flex standardization.
- Work in collaboration with Project Manager to meet projects timelines.
- Work in a team environment sharing knowledge among colleagues.
- Is proactive, self-driven and motivated.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Strong experience in Software Development, delivering reliable solutions.
- Development, using SW, such as: Phyton, Visual studio, others
- Capable to find rout causes and debugging for Automation development equipment
- knowledge in Electrical Diagrams for automation equipment
- experience in Safety devices implementation and evaluation for automation equipment
- Strong experience in PLC programming Structured language Mitsubishi & Omron.
- Experience in programming skill with at least one of the following languages’++ or JavaScript. Similar programming languages will be a good skill to add.
- Strong experience in Robot programing, such as: Epson, Fanuc, Nachi, UR, ABB, Kuka or others related
- Strong experience Vision System equipment, such as: Cognex or Keyence
- Strong experience with industrial protocols like OPC, Profibus, Fieldbus, Device net, IO-link, Modbus, TCP/IP or similar.
- Knowledge in sensors brands and their selection according to application
- Experience in manufacturing process for electronics devices and mechanical assemblies (e.g., dispensing, screw-fastening, welding, soldering, general knowledge in testing, etc.)
- Desirable Training in safety and ergonomics.
- Advanced English, written and spoken (Conversational)
- Desirable Valid US Visa and passport
