Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer in Ciudad Juarez to lead automation projects, validate equipment, and implement new technologies in manufacturing. The role requires strong PLC/HMI/vision/robotics troubleshooting skills and a background in engineering or science.

You will drive commissioning, profiling, and documentation, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams across MedTech and Surgery divisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science required.
Strong experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, vision systems and robots.
Experience programming across different architectures and levels.

Responsibilities

Executes automation-related capital projects from design to construction.
Conducts qualification and validation for new automation systems.
Implements new automation tech in manufacturing operations; selects hardware/software upgrades.
Troubleshoots and tests new equipment.
Monitors data to identify problems and improvement opportunities.
Maintains manufacturing equipment control systems for daily operations.
Documents procedures, qualification plans and reports as needed.
Ensures safety compliance in the department.
