Job summary

Align Technology, Inc. seeks a Sr Automation Control Engineer for our Juarez, MX plant. You will support ongoing production activities, improve processes, and develop new technologies with a focus on controls, automation, and data-driven improvements.

You will lead hardware/software integration, validate IQ/OQ/PQ as needed, and mentor junior staff while driving continuous improvement across equipment, tooling and processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in Controls/Automation Engineering.
• Experience programming and debugging PLC/automation systems in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Document and improve manufacturing processes using standard automation techniques.
• Validate software and equipment changes via IQ/OQ/PQ where required.
• Ensure quality and productivity through robust process controls.
• Develop and implement new manufacturing methods and technology.
• Integrate and automate existing systems to improve uptime and efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and cost reduction analyses.
• Provide training to junior engineers and technicians on processes.
• Support design activities for optical engineering applications in computer vision projects.
