Job summary

Jabil is seeking a senior automation specialist to plan and integrate new automation technology into production lines. You will oversee development progress, coordinate with suppliers, and drive improvements to efficiency and lead times across sites.

Responsibilities include training production teams, evaluating new modules, and ensuring timely migration of new tech into mass production while maintaining quality and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Senior knowledge of laser technology, ultrasonic sealing, and related processes.
• Proficient in Taguchi Method, SPC, and QC practices.
• Strong project management and cross-site coordination skills.
• Experience with machinery drawings and review.
• Knowledge of PLC design and server control for automation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plans integration of automation equipment and accessories as new technology as required.
• Controls progress of new technology integrated with automation projects to ensure mass production readiness.
• Participates in assessing new automation modules with suppliers to reduce development cycle time.
• Proposes improvements to efficiency and cost reduction of automation equipment.
• Sets up development processes and forms for new technology migrating to production lines.
• Conducts training on new technology for the production department.
• Assists sites with technical support to meet lead times and customer requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
