Job summary

Jabil, a global manufacturing and engineering partner, is seeking an experienced Automation Technology Specialist to plan integration of new automation equipment and oversee its migration into mass production on schedule.

You will coordinate with suppliers to evaluate new modules, drive efficiency and cost reductions, set up development processes, train production teams, and support sites to meet lead times and quality for customer projects.

Qualifications

• Senior knowledge of laser technology and special processes, and ultrasonic sealing equipment.
• Senior knowledge of Taguchi Method, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and quality control skills.
• Senior knowledge of project management and coordination.
• Senior knowledge of PLC design, server control, PC base development.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis.
• Excel in risk assessing and introducing automation.
• Experience with machinery drawing and review.
• Understand development purpose and assess practicability with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Plans integration of automation equipment and accessories as new technology as required.
• Controls progress of new technology to migrate into mass production on schedule.
• Participates in assessment of new automation module with suppliers to reduce cycle time.
• Proposes improvements to efficiency of automation and cost reduction.
• Sets up new technology development process flow and forms.
• Enhances new technology to migrate to production lines.
• Conducts related training of new technology for production department.
• Assists sites with new technical support to meet lead time and quality of customer requests.
