Job summary

Flex seeks an Automation Engineer in Guadalajara, North, to design, test, and optimize automated systems across mechanical and digital environments. You will help improve processes, reduce costs, and drive better design outcomes while eliminating defects in products and software development.

The role requires a senior automation background, project management experience, and strong CAD and automotive industry familiarity. You will work within a team supporting production engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
Senior background in automation engineering.
Experience in project management.
Strong automotive industry experience.
Experience in state of work development.
Expertise in BoM structuring.
Proficiency in CAD software.
Familiarity with DFX/DFM principles.
Knowledge and application of PokaYoke methodologies.
Experience with fixtures and gages design.
Proficient in robotic automation.
Strong background in mechanical engineering.
Experience in the design of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Engaging with customers and addressing internal project requirements.
Identifying opportunities to increase efficiency with automation.
Researching and designing automation technology.
Creating a connection between information inputs, controllers and outputs.
Developing tests and simulations to ensure the systems work as intended.
Establishing monitoring and QA processes.
Investigating defects or errors in the technology.
Managing safety systems, motor controls, drives, communication systems, and HMI.
