Job summary

Monks is seeking a Senior Art Director to lead the conceptualization, visual direction, and execution of digital campaigns and social-first content. A creative thinker with strong visual craft and knowledge of emerging technologies is needed to develop original ideas and high-quality creative executions.

Able to collaborate with Copywriters, Strategists and teams, you will create moodboards, mockups, and presentations, while guiding visual execution across formats.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in art direction or senior design roles within advertising or digital agencies.
• Strong conceptual thinking and campaign concept development.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator; experience with Figma.
• Strong knowledge of AI-powered creative tools, image generation, visual experimentation, and AI-assisted production workflows.
• Understanding of emerging technologies and their broader creative applications.
• Strong portfolio showing art direction, conceptual development, visual storytelling, and digital executions.
• Experience creating social-first content and adapting creative work across platforms.
• Excellent visual communication, presentation, and collaborative skills.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English, with ability to deliver under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop original visual concepts, creative territories, and art direction proposals aligned with briefs and brand objectives.
• Partner with Copywriters, Strategists, and teams to build integrated ideas from concept to execution.
• Create moodboards, mockups, storyboards, and visuals to communicate proposals.
• Lead visual execution across digital campaigns and social content across formats.
• Explore AI-powered tools and technologies to enhance ideation and production workflows.
• Translate complex ideas into engaging visual executions.
• Present and defend creative concepts with clear rationale behind decisions.
• Maintain high standards of typography, composition, branding, and design quality.
