Monks is seeking a Senior Art Director to lead conceptualization, visual direction, and execution of digital campaigns and social-first content. You will shape creative concepts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive high-quality, accessible design across platforms.

We value strong typography, brand consistency, and proficiency in English and Spanish, with a focus on emerging technologies and AI-assisted workflows to push creative boundaries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in art direction or senior design roles within advertising or digital agencies.
• Strong conceptual thinking with proven experience developing original visual ideas and campaign concepts.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator; experience with Figma.
• Strong knowledge of AI-powered creative tools, including image generation, visual experimentation, and AI-assisted production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop original visual concepts, creative territories, and art direction proposals aligned with strategic briefs and brand objectives.
• Partner with Copywriters, Strategists, and creative teams to build integrated creative ideas from concept through execution.
• Create moodboards, mockups, storyboards, and visual presentations to communicate creative proposals.
• Lead visual execution across digital campaigns, social content, and multiple formats, ensuring consistency and creative excellence.
• Explore AI-powered creative tools and emerging technologies to enhance ideation, visual experimentation, and production workflows.
• Apply visual storytelling principles to translate complex ideas into engaging and accessible creative executions.
• Present and defend creative concepts, clearly articulating the rationale behind visual decisions.
• Maintain high standards of typography, composition, branding, and overall design quality.
