PayJoy in Mexico City seeks a Senior Analytics Engineer to own governance, definitions, and measurement foundations that keep our data trustworthy by default and our decisions measurable by design.

You will lead Unity Catalog governance, the semantic layer, and the transformation loop, ensuring consistent answers across teams and enabling rapid analytics with strong experiment frameworks and instrumentation. Excellent communication is essential in this high-impact, autonomous role.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or higher in a related field; Master’s a plus.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Deep data governance expertise on a modern lakehouse (Unity Catalog or equivalent).
• Expert-level data modeling expertise with test strategy and semantics.
• Proven track record of driving adoption of data standards/tools.
• Strong communicator able to explain analytics to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, high-impact environments with broad scope and autonomy.

Responsabilidades

• Own Unity Catalog governance model including catalog/schema architecture, tagging, metadata standards, lineage, grants, and PII controls.
• Define and operate standards that make data trustworthy by default, including SLAs and detection quality for data products.
• Own the governed semantic layer and transformation loop for consistent answers across teams.
• Establish experimentation governance and measurement substrate with tooling recommendations.
• Deliver scoped enablement projects that provide reusable patterns for the organization.
