Job summary

Ciena Corporation in Mexico is seeking a Senior Layout Engineer to contribute to high-speed analog/mixed-signal layout in deep-submicron CMOS processes. You will collaborate with senior designers to plan and implement layouts for DAC, ADC, PLL, and SERDES, ensuring product performance and reliability.

Strong experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, and Totem is required, along with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least five years in custom analog layout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Custom analog/mixed-signal layout design using deep-submicro CMOS devices.
• Experience with ADC, DAC, PLL, and SERDES layouts.
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre and Totem.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate layout feasibility in collaboration with senior analog designers.
• Create layouts for assigned analog blocks through floor planning, placement, and routing.
• Perform DRC, ANT, LVS, PERC, EM, and IR verification checks.
• Investigate layout tool and process features to enhance productivity.
• Provide regular status updates and share knowledge with the group.
