Averna in Mexico is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Technician who ensures vendor invoices are recorded and paid on time, maintains accurate records in the accounting system, and communicates effectively with vendors and internal clients.

You will process invoices, reconcile statements, handle payments, review employee expenses, and support audits. Strong Excel and ERP experience, plus 4 years in AP and bilingual English, are required.

Formación

• Diploma or university degree in accounting or a related field.
• 4 years of accounts payable experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems; strong communication.
• Knowledge of Mexican and/or US sales taxes.
• English proficiency, written and spoken.
• Nice to have: D365 ERP, Canadian sales taxes, and project accounting.

Responsabilidades

• Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy of coding and data entry.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure that all outstanding payments are accurate.
• Process payments to suppliers.
• Review, register and reimburse employee’s expense reports.
• Record and reconcile transactions paid by corporate credit cards.
• Analyze and solve problems related to supplier invoices and purchase orders.
• Answer vendor inquiries and resolve any payment discrepancies.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
