Job summary

Mastercard in Mexico seeks a Senior Accountant to support the Finance Team with monthly reconciliations, reporting, and accounting analyses to drive growth and profitability. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work across deals and business units.

The ideal candidate holds a finance or accounting degree, is bilingual (English/Spanish), and has strong communication skills along with knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting and Oracle/Hyperion.

Qualifications

• Related financial experience; payment industry is a plus.
• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Good understanding of foreign exchange and financial analysis.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX.

Responsibilities

• Monthly completions of reconciliations for incentives as per policy.
• Review of work orders subject to terms in CAR Tool workflow.
• Prepare accounting treatments and attach to CAR Tool for approvals.
• Review and approve Purchase Requisitions in Oracle procurement system.
• Prepare and report quarterly commitments schedule in Excel and update Hyperion.
• Prepare and report quarterly guarantees to Corporate.
