Job summary

Global Payments Inc. in Mexico City is seeking a Financial Analyst to turn complex financial data into clear insights that guide strategy, strengthen controls, and drive growth.

In this role you will own budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, analyze variances, and present findings to senior leaders. You will also support audit readiness, improve accounting processes, and help raise the team’s accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or CPA/CMA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA preferred.
• At least three years of relevant accounting/finance experience with advanced accounting expertise.
• Proven analytical skills to investigate financial issues and translate findings into recommendations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel; experience with financial systems such as Microsoft Dynamics and Hyperion is a plus.
• Strong judgment, accountability, and ability to influence stakeholders across teams.
• CPA/CMA or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial planning and forecasting with complex budget analyses and revenue forecasts.
• Analyze performance, variances, and year-to-date budgets to inform actions.
• Lead review of income statements, balance sheets, journals, and period-end reporting for accuracy.
• Develop analyses and management reports for senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Own audit requests, identify risks, and strengthen controls for compliance.
• Interpret accounting standards and recommend improvements to processes and controls.
• Coach colleagues to raise accounting knowledge and performance.
• Influence accounting systems, cost methods, and budgeting controls.
