Confidencial is seeking a Senior Accountant in Hermosillo, Sonora, to support a portfolio of business clients with full-cycle accounting responsibilities, including month-end close, financial reporting, and complex reconciliations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple entities and accounting systems.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Responsabilidades

  • Manage the month-end and financial close process for multiple clients.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Perform and review journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial results and identify discrepancies or issues.
  • Perform complex reconciliations across multiple systems or entities.
  • Support multi-entity consolidations.
  • Apply revenue recognition based on underlying transactions.
  • Manage fixed-asset accounting, depreciation, disposals, and cleanup.
  • Support ASC 842 lease accounting where applicable.
  • Prepare loan amortization schedules and related entries.
  • Investigate unusual transactions and determine appropriate treatment.
  • Review client financials and implement corrections.
  • Troubleshoot accounting-system discrepancies and communicate with clients.
  • Assist integrations between systems and document processes.

About the OpportunityIntugo, in partnership with a foreign company specializing in outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, tax, finance, fractional CFO, payroll, and HR services, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a portfolio of business clients.

This position is designed for an accountant with strong hands‑on experience across the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, complex reconciliations, journal entries, and technical accounting matters.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable analyzing complex or unusual transactions, determining the appropriate accounting treatment, and working directly with clients to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the month-end and financial close process for multiple business clients.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Perform and review journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and account reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial results and identify unusual balances, discrepancies, or accounting issues.
  • Perform complex reconciliations involving multiple systems, accounts, or legal entities.
  • Support or perform multi-entity consolidations.
  • Apply appropriate revenue recognition treatment based on the underlying transaction.
  • Manage fixed-asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and prior-period cleanup.
  • Support lease accounting under ASC 842, where applicable.
  • Prepare and review loan amortization schedules and related accounting entries.
  • Evaluate unusual or non-routine transactions and determine the appropriate accounting treatment and journal entries.
  • Review client financials on an ongoing basis and make necessary corrections or adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot accounting-system and financial-reporting discrepancies.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting questions, financial results, missing information, deadlines, and required adjustments.
  • Assist with integrations between accounting systems and other business applications.
  • Document accounting processes and workflows.
  • Support technical accounting questions across the Accounting Team.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support decision‑making.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong full-cycle accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated hands‑on experience with month‑end close.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
  • Strong experience with general ledger accounting and journal entries.
  • Experience performing complex balance‑sheet reconciliations.
  • Ability to independently investigate discrepancies and determine appropriate accounting adjustments.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience handling complex or non‑routine accounting transactions.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work directly with clients and explain accounting matters clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and client accounts.
Highly Preferred Experience
  • QuickBooks Online experience.
