Copeland is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a fully remote finance team serving operations across Mexico, with a key presence in Monterrey. You will oversee a broad range of accounting functions, ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records, and contribute to strategic financial planning.

The role requires 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong knowledge of Mexican fiscal laws (NIF), and proficiency with SAP/Oracle/QuickBooks.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience with Mexican fiscal laws (NIF).
• CPA or Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with SAP/Oracle/QuickBooks Enterprise and advanced Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with timely financial reporting.
• Prepare detailed financial statements, balance sheets and income statements per Mexican GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed assets.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations; assist with tax filings and audits.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for decision-making.
• Mentor junior accounting staff in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master's degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of Mexican fiscal laws and NIF.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks Enterprise) and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in an independent remote environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective remote collaboration.
• Experience with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) is a plus.
