Job summary

ICON Clinical Research is seeking a Senior Medical Technologist to perform complex laboratory analyses in support for clinical trials from a home-based position in Mexico. You will own scientific operations deliverables, ensuring SOP compliance, quality control, and regulatory adherence while supporting cross-functional clinical research teams.

The role requires a strong foundation in laboratory operations, proficiency with LIMS and EMR, and the ability to train junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Ability to perform complex laboratory tests.

Responsibilities

• Performing advanced laboratory tests and analyses in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Overseeing laboratory operations, including sample processing, equipment maintenance, and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
• Collaborating with clinical research teams to support study design and implement laboratory methods that align with project goals.
• Interpreting and validating test results, providing technical expertise, and troubleshooting any laboratory issues that may arise.
• Training and mentoring junior laboratory staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the laboratory environment.
• Participating in the development and implementation of laboratory protocols, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Assisting with audits and inspections by providing documentation and demonstrating adherence to laboratory standards and practices.
