Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting and US GAAP.
• Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and compliance filings.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (required).
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
• Public accounting or client-service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile complex balance sheet accounts and perform detailed financial analysis.
• Review general ledger activity to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Research accounting issues, document findings, and recommend practical solutions.
• Monitor cash activity and prepare timely cash reports.
• Prepare and review sales tax, property tax, CAT, and other compliance filings.
• Support financial reporting activities and communicate financial impacts to clients.
• Manage client engagements, including timelines, deliverables, and expectations.
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and reliable execution.
• Independently manage multiple projects and work through accounting challenges while meeting deadlines.
