Job summary

Zaelab is seeking a Release Manager to own and drive the software release process for a key client engagement. You will bring structure, visibility, and predictability to production movement, coordinating across engineering, QA, DevOps, and client teams to ensure releases run smoothly.

This role focuses on orchestration rather than hands-on development, emphasizing risk anticipation, dependency movement, and clear planning when issues arise.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in release management or similar roles in software delivery.
• Hands-on experience managing production releases end to end: planning, readiness, go/no-go, cutover, rollback.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC, CI/CD concepts, deployment environments, and branching/versioning.

Responsibilities

• Own the release calendar across the engagement, coordinating dependencies and environments.
• Drive release readiness with clear entry/exit criteria and approvals across teams.
• Lead cutover planning with detailed owners, timing, dependencies, and checkpoints.
