Job summary

Capgemini Mexico is seeking a Release Management & DevOps Governance Lead to oversee planning, governance and delivery of software releases across cloud-native environments. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Quality, DevSecOps, SRE and Support teams to balance speed, reliability, compliance and risk.

You will drive release governance, coordinate multi-environment deployments, assess risks, and lead continuous improvement across the software delivery lifecycle, aligning stakeholders

Qualifications

• Demonstrates strong expertise in release management, DevOps governance, cloud operations, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Applies a risk-aware and analytical mindset to mitigate deployment risks and ensure operational resilience.
• Collaborates with Product, Engineering, Quality, DevSecOps, SRE, and stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead release planning, governance, and deployment activities across multiple applications and environments.
• Align change management with modern CI/CD and DevOps principles.
• Assess deployment risks, dependencies, and business impact while ensuring rollback strategies.
• Coordinate release orchestration across staging, testing, canary, and production environments.
• Partner with SRE, DevSecOps, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve release reliability and stability.
• Facilitate incident reviews and post-mortems to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage stakeholder communications related to releases, schedules, and change impacts.
• Support governance and workflow management through tools like ServiceNow and Jira Service Management.
• Promote automation and standardization across software delivery processes.
• Contribute to cloud and container-based operational strategies leveraging AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
