Job summary

Atomic HR is seeking a dedicated mobile developer to lead an offline-first iOS and Android app, starting from project setup and carrying it through to store launches. You will work with a lead developer and backend counterpart, review code, write tests, and help shape sign-in, sync, and release strategies.

This role is fully remote for LATAM contractors, with core hours overlapping US time zones. You will own the app from first files to public releases, collaborating with AI coding agents to

Qualifications

• 4+ years building mobile apps, including React Native.
• Offline-first experience with local storage and retry queues.
• Performance tuning on low-end Android devices.
• Daily use of AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code in production work.
• Clear written and spoken English for client communication.
• Ability to work from written acceptance criteria and push back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up developer accounts, signing, CI builds, and testing tracks for iOS and Android.
• Build local storage, write queue, and retry logic to keep the app functional offline.
• Define sync/upload APIs with backend, and resolve conflicts.
• Implement sign-in with phone numbers and push notifications that fallback to SMS.
• Implement camera capture and e-signature flows with versioned records.
• Optimize startup time, memory, and app size on low-end devices.
• Handle store submissions, privacy disclosures, and monitoring for crashes and sync.
