Electric Power Engineers, LLC is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to perform integration and interconnection studies within the WECC footprint and to develop PSSE, PSLF, and PSCAD models for renewable generation such as Solar PV, BESS, and Wind.

The position is remote from Mexico with occasional travel, offering opportunities to collaborate with global teams and contribute to a modern, secure and resilient grid through innovative energy intelligence solutions.

Formación

• 1+ years of professional experience as a Power Systems Engineer.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Strong customer focus, internal and external.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks, projects and resources.

Responsabilidades

• Perform Integration and load Interconnection studies within the WECC footprint.
• Identify optimal strategy for project interconnection to the grid based on system impacts and grid capacity.
• Work on interconnection projects, including modeling, due diligence, interconnection analysis.
• Create and validate PSSE, PSLF and PSCAD models for renewable generation: Solar PV, BESS, Wind.
• Specialized studies such as Sub-synchronous Resonance, protection coordination, arc flash, transient overvoltage (TOV).
• Contribute to knowledge base and development of innovative study approaches/techniques.
• Attend and participate in meetings and conferences on engineering and technical issues and report key findings.
