Electric Power Engineers (EPE) seeks a Power Systems Engineer with 3+ years of experience to lead generation integration and interconnection studies across WECC and ERCOT regions. The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and customer focus while handling multiple projects and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

The position is remote from Mexico, with occasional travel as needed.

Formación

• 3+ years professional experience as a Power Systems Engineer.
• Proven team player with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with respect to explaining technical matters.
• Strong customer focus, both internal and external.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks, projects and resources.

Responsabilidades

• Perform and lead Generation Integration and load Interconnection studies within the WECC footprint.
• Identify optimal strategy for project interconnection to the grid based on system impacts and assessing grid capacity.
• Support business development activities within ERCOT and/or the West.
• Work on interconnection projects, including modeling, due diligence, interconnection analysis.
• Create and validate PSSE, PSLF and PSCAD models for renewable generation: Solar PV, BESS, Wind.
• It is a plus if the candidate is able to perform specialized studies of the power grid, such as Sub-synchronous Resonance studies, protection coordination studies, arc flash studies, transient overvoltage (TOV) studies.
• Contribute to Knowledge base of the organization and development of innovative study approaches/techniques.
• Attend and participate in meetings and conferences on engineering and technical issues and report key findings.

Responsibilities
