Electric Power Engineers is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to conduct detailed studies, model IBR dynamics, and assess protection coordination for grid reliability. The role focuses on applying PSS/E, PSCAD, and TSAT to deliver compliant, data-driven insights and robust energy intelligence solutions.

You will collaborate in an innovative team, manage data for multiple engineering studies, and prepare technical reports while supporting the company’s mission to build a modern, secure grid.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering with an emphasis in electric power systems.
• 2–3 years of experience as a power systems engineer.
• Experience performing power system impact studies (Steady State, Short Circuit, Dynamic Stability).
• Experience with power system software (PSS/E, PSCAD, TSAT).
• Experience automating/programming in Python.

Responsabilidades

• Perform detailed bulk power system studies using software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, TSAT, ETAP.
• Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit and dynamic in PSSE.
• Perform compliance assessments on IBR facility rating, protection coordination, voltage/frequency ride through.
• Process, generate and maintain data for engineering studies.
• Prepare technical study reports and ensure timely project completion within budget.
