Job summary

Onfleet is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional product team of four to seven engineers, reporting to the CTO. You will own people, delivery, hiring, and process, coaching through growth and tough moments while keeping execution visible with data and metrics.

We value a leader who drives execution without being on the critical path and who helps the team deliver high-quality releases through agentic workflows, collaboration with product, and rigorous standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing software engineers who formally reported to you
• 5+ years hands-on professional software development
• Proven and fluent daily use of AI coding agents with orchestration
• Track record of coaching engineers through growth and tough moments
• Track record of end-to-end delivery and fixing bottlenecks
• Raising team quality bar with developer-owned testing and gates
• Experience partnering with product management on priorities and trade-offs
• Excellent written and spoken English, around C1 level, in international teams

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of four to seven engineers; conduct one-on-ones and drive career growth
• Own delivery planning; keep commitments visible and blockers removed
• Partner with product manager daily on priorities and trade-offs
• Coach the agentic way of working and evolve tool-set and best practices
• Stay hands-on when appropriate; code through agents and review PRs
• Hire and grow the team through structured hiring processes
• Maintain quality bar; ensure tests and gates are owned by the team
• Use data and metrics to guide coaching and process changes
