Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Cloud Platform Technical Lead to own the reliability and orchestration of an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will own end-to-end platform reliability across AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Snowflake, S3, and custom ingestion pipelines.

You will mentor engineers, define IaC standards, CI/CD practices, and incident response, partner with security and analytics teams, and ensure governance and least-privilege access.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Cloud/Platform Engineering, DevOps or SRE.
• AWS production environments expertise (architecture, security, networking, access management, monitoring).
• Kubernetes and Amazon EKS expertise with workload deployment and troubleshooting.
• Argo Workflows or equivalent orchestration platform experience.
• Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, CI/CD, release automation, rollback practices.
• Observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, incident routing for distributed platforms.
• Lead major incidents and cross‑functional troubleshooting.
• Production platforms with SLAs, runbooks, on‑call responsibilities.
• Data platforms: Snowflake, S3-based data lakes, SQL, dbt, Fivetran or similar tools.
• Python, Shell, Bash for automation.
• Strong English communication.
• LatAm hours 9:00 AM–6:00 PM ET and on‑call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability of the managed Data Platform across AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Snowflake, S3, Fivetran and custom ingestion pipelines.
• Lead the transition to managed services with platform discovery and readiness validation.
• Define IaC, CI/CD, release practices, and observability patterns across the platform.
• Provide leadership for AWS infra, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, deployment automation, and access management.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and a prioritized backlog.
• Guide cross‑platform decisions on Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran and data pipelines.
• Lead cross‑platform troubleshooting and L3 escalation during incidents.
• Direct incident response including RCA, communications, and preventive actions.
• Ensure changes include validation, rollback plans, and traceability across components.
• Monitor reliability indicators and drive automation, observability, and cost efficiency improvements.
• Work with Security, Governance, Analytics, IT to ensure least‑privilege access and auditability.
• Review designs, document tradeoffs, and maintain secure, scalable solutions.
• Mentor engineers and foster consistent practices across the team.
• Maintain alignment across LatAm and India coverage windows.
• Participate in senior escalation and on‑call model.
