Job summary

Voxidea-Stafi in Latin America is seeking experienced Paralegals specialized in employment-based immigration to support U.S.-based law firms. You will draft petitions, manage case files, and communicate with clients in English and Spanish.

This fully remote role requires at least two years as a paralegal or legal assistant, a law degree, fluency in English and Spanish, and ability to work independently on multiple cases while using immigration databases and software.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience as a legal assistant or law clerk.
• Law degree (or equivalent) from home country.
• At least two years of paralegal experience in a U.S. immigration law firm.
• Bilingual in English (C1+) and Spanish, both spoken and written.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Familiar with immigration databases and software.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration procedures, visa types, and forms.
• Resides permanently in Latin America.
• Owns a reliable laptop (Windows or Mac, 2017 or newer) with a stable internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare immigration-related legal documents, including visa petitions, affidavits, appeals, and motions.
• Submit immigration petitions and applications to relevant agencies, meeting all deadlines.
• Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and case precedents.
• Communicate with clients in English and Spanish, addressing inquiries and providing updates.
• Maintain organized case files and accurate documentation for immigration cases.
• Prepare and review immigration forms for visas and other processes.
• Support attorneys with administrative tasks related to immigration cases.
• Track visa deadlines and case progress, keeping attorneys informed.
