Formación

About the role

• Lead development initiatives and respond to customer requests in the EUM Dairy space.
• Drive business strategy and performance in the dairy application category.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact results.
• Support the RD&A Manager in daily operations, team coordination, project management, and training.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative solutions to help grow customer and Kerry’s market within cost parameters, manufacturing capability whilst ensuring all new products are legal within country of use.
• Managing projects/briefs as allocated ensuring deadlines are met.
• Coordinating launches of new products & running trials at Kerry manufacturing sites.
• Provide our customers with the best available products through developing an understanding the market, manufacturing capabilities, ingredient restrictions etc.
• Supporting the R&D manager with the day to day running of the R&D team and where required assist with organizing and running team meetings and training for team members.
• Leading launches of new and innovative products utilizing all appropriate Kerry technologies.
• Build relationships with key personnel within allocated accounts via visits, presentations and attending trials in customer factory when required.
• Working in partnership with customers and the Kerry cross functional team to deliver products from concept through to launch, in the time frames agreed with customers.

• Interaction and troubleshooting with customers on application concerns.
• Fosters relationships with peers at key accounts Globally.
• Application knowledge within assigned Dairy food categories and becomes recognized as a solution partner by Dairy food product.
• Experience in analytical techniques and process technology as appropriate to role and Dairy product categories.
• Good commercial awareness and decision-making skills.
• Practical, value-based problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work on your own initiative and great attention to detail

Technical Competencies & Key Job Deliverables

• Expert in the Kerry Technologies within a specific Technology or Applications into Dairy EUM.
• Creative and Innovative Thinking, Scientific and Technical Expertise.
• Customer facing role working with leadership team to develop competitive in-cost solutions that meet customer & business requirements in Dairy EUM.
• Lead R&D contact with key customers, building strong relationships with R&D customers providing excellent service in terms of concept development, sample delivery, product presentations and process support.
• Knowledge of Dairy market trends, restrictions and customer requirements & process.
• Operation support, maintain records & documentation, Support customer presentations, NPD to scale up in factory.
• Conducts lab & pilot plant trials for optimization of current product.

Qualifications and skills

• BSc in Food Science or equivalent as minimum. Higher degrees advantageous.
• 7 – 10 years’ work experience in RD teams. (Minimum of which 3 must be within Dairy and/or Dairy Beverage industry)

• Managing the day-to-day work of Technologists within the team
• Provides coaching and mentoring to other technologists.
