Sanmina Corporation in Reynosa, Mexico is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to establish quality control standards, define product requirements, and ensure compliance with IATF16949/ISO9001. You will set process controls, monitor yield, and drive corrective actions across manufacturing teams.

You will manage quality issues with internal and supplier teams, perform root-cause analysis, lead Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives, and report KPIs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing/engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance in high-volume manufacturing.
• Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing skills; Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluently in writing and speaking.

Responsabilidades

Job Description

A Sr. Quality Engineer is responsible for determining production standards for the products by establishing quality control systems and setting product requirement rules. Their duties include identifying the specifications for an ideal product, determining an appropriate level of variation and monitoring quality assurance rates.

Responsibilities

• Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g. internal, supplier).
• Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.
• Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.
• Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators (yield)
• Stop production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes
• Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (IATF16949/ISO9001)
• Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system.
• Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis
• Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements.
• Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA’s (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities
• Write reports and present progress at project meetings
• Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
• Produce written reports and make presentations
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
• Lead and/or support groups of technicians and engineers
• Provide guidance to other team members
• Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers

Qualifications and Experience Levels

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing/engineering preferred
• Previous experience in a high volume manufacturing environment,preferably automotive
• Minimum 5 Years of Experience of working in Quality Assurance
• Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing skills, Green Belt or Black Belt Certification preferred.
• Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
• Bilingual, English/Spanish fluently communicates in both languages written and spoken.
