PepsiCo is seeking an R&D Lab Assistant Analyst in Mexico City to support bench-top development for beverages, coordinating with cross-functional R&D and QA teams. The role includes handling prototypes, specifications, and validation procedures to ensure safe, compliant formulations.

You will assist in maintenance of equipment, manage inventories in SAP, and contribute to new-material supplier qualifications while working in a dynamic LATAM environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Chemistry, Food Science, or related field.
• Experience in a laboratory is a plus.
• English and Spanish fluent required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct bench-top development and prototype formulation per PepsiCo R&D protocols.

Responsibilities

TheOpportunity

This role will be responsible for supporting R&D formula development and validation at benchtop development level for beverages, requiring coordination with Product Developers and cross functional R&D partners including, Quality Assurance, Consumer Science, Regulatory Affairs and Commercialization Engineering. This role will provide Support for Innovation, TBS (Technical Brand Stewardship) and Productivity projects for LATAM beverages.

YourImpact

As R&D Lab Assistant Analyst your functions would consist of:

• Execute relevant bench top development applications, including product prototypes, formula adjustments, Finished Product and Raw Material specifications generation and related validation procedures in alignment with PEP R&D protocols and best practices to ensure safe, stable, and legal formulations.
• Meet success criteria assigned to each project including metrics on time, quality and performance as per aligned in AOP and Global Innovation Brief.
• Maintain laboratory facilities, raw materials and laboratory supplies inventories up to date, Bench Top Development working areas clean and according to Safety Guidelines, shelf-life chambers and storage rooms in order, free of expired samples and materials and also generate Purchase Orders in SAP and follow up the Payment Process until Goods Receipt entrance.
• Assist laboratory site management activities, maintenance and calibration program of analytical equipment, provide technical support to operate and coordinate maintenance of the single head filler and Hot Fill Processor equipment.
• Support new material / supplier qualification process following PepsiCo R&D protocols.
• Perform physical chemical analysis of samples and collect information of commercial products and fill out competitive analysis templates.

• Education: Bachelor´s Degree or higher in one of the following areas - Food Chemistry, Food Science, Food Process Engineering, Chemistry or any Food Science Field related technical area;

Experience

• Professional Experience

• • R&D experience: Not necessarily required; desired some experience working in a laboratory facility is a plus
  • Functional experience: Desired Experience in Product Development is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory using different Analytical Equipment is a plus
